Project Consultant
Cassie, sometimes known as “Emerald” around camp, has been involved in camping for 15 years. Recently leading a small non-profit summer camp while taking every opportunity to grow professionally and personally. She has held almost every position at camp and has now re-directed her focus on assisting others to further themselves and their facilities as a consultant and trainer.
Her first summer working at camp allowed her to discover her true self, but it wasn’t until completing her degree, at the University of Lethbridge, with a B.Sc in Exercise Sciences and returning to camp after a summer away, that she realized the true impact of camp and its potential as a career in youth development and leadership.
She believes that camp and youth programming provide the skills and resources required for children and youth to be successful and develop a sense of purpose. As she continues to meet more people involved in the world of camping she finds her previous experiences and learnings can allow others the opportunity to grow and better themselves.
